These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of LandChords (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including the website, web application, and any associated services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use LandChords. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at the contact address below if you suspect unauthorized access. We reserve the right to disable accounts that violate these Terms.
LandChords allows you to create, store, and organize song data including chord progressions, lyrics, melodies, drum patterns, and vocal recordings (“Your Content”). You retain full ownership of Your Content. Your songs are yours.
What we do not claim. We take no royalty, revenue share, or commission on Your Content. We claim no ownership interest in your compositions, lyrics, melodies, or recordings. We take no publishing, administration, mechanical, synchronisation, or distribution rights. We will not sell, license, or distribute Your Content to any third party, and we will not use it in advertising or promotional material without asking you first and obtaining your separate permission. Nothing you do on the Service, including cancelling a Paid Plan or letting a subscription lapse, transfers any right in Your Content to us.
The limited licence you grant us. By uploading or storing Your Content on the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, back up, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you, and to make it available to people you deliberately share it with under Section 9. This licence exists only so that the Service can function. It is not a transfer of ownership, it grants us no independent right to exploit Your Content, and it ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, subject to the retention periods in our Privacy Policy.
No training on your songs. We do not use Your Content to train machine-learning or AI models, and we do not provide Your Content to any third party for that purpose. Content you submit through an AI feature is transmitted to Google’s Gemini API for processing on that request only, as described in Section 7.
AI-assisted material. Where you use an AI feature to generate or suggest material, we claim no ownership in the result and take no royalty on it. Please note that this is a statement about our position, not a guarantee of your legal rights against the world: copyright protection for material generated purely by an AI system is limited or unavailable in some jurisdictions, regardless of what these Terms say. You are responsible for deciding how you use AI-assisted material in work you intend to register, release, or license.
Leaving with your work. You can export Your Content at any time while your account is active. Deleting a song or your account removes Your Content from the Service in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your ownership of Your Content survives any termination of these Terms.

Some features of LandChords may be offered under a paid subscription (“Paid Plan”). Billing terms, pricing, and feature availability for Paid Plans are described at the time of purchase and may change with reasonable notice. All fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or as otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. Subscription cancellations can be managed through your billing portal. Refunds are handled in accordance with Dodo Payments’ refund policy and applicable law.
If a payment fails or your subscription lapses, access to Paid Plan features may be restricted until payment is resolved. Your Content will remain accessible during a grace period as described in your account settings.
The LandChords name, logo, application design, and underlying software are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property law. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our intellectual property rights to you, nor does it grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding outside the Service.
The Service integrates with third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party service.
Authentication. Sign-in via Google is provided by Google OAuth and is subject to Google’s terms and privacy policy.
AI features. LandChords offers AI-powered songwriting tools. Most tools are available to all users subject to daily usage limits; Pro subscribers receive higher limits. Analyze Song is available to Pro subscribers only. Tools include: Lyric Helper, Verse Generator, Lyric Autocomplete, Word Tools (rhyme and thesaurus), Chord Maker, Drum AI, and Melody AI (each with daily limits for all users), plus Analyze Song (Pro only).
When you use any AI feature, the relevant content — which may include your lyrics, chord symbols, section structure, drum patterns, or melody notes — is transmitted to Google’s Gemini API for processing. By using AI features, you consent to this data transfer to Google and acknowledge that content will be processed according to Google’s Privacy Policy.
Vocal recordings made in Vocal Studio are processed locally in your browser. For Free plan users, recordings remain local to the current session. For Pro subscribers, recordings are uploaded to and stored in Supabase cloud storage to enable multi-device access and persistence. You retain full ownership of all recordings. Recordings are deleted in accordance with the data retention terms in our Privacy Policy.
You may generate a public share link for a song using the Preview feature. When you create a share link:
Share links are revocable at any time from the Preview panel. Revoking a link deletes the uploaded audio file and deactivates the URL. No account information is revealed to viewers of a shared link. By generating a share link, you consent to the relevant content being publicly accessible via that link until revoked.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from loss of data.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LandChords and its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable prior notice where practicable. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we may delete Your Content after a reasonable retention period.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a prominent notice within the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Kerala, India.
